Some have never surfed before, some surf all the time, and some have not surfed since sustaining their injury. www.liferollson.org On Saturday July 25th, 2009 Life Rolls On They Will Surf Again event was held at Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Approximately 120 volunteers were on hand to help 15 individuals who would venture into 2-3 foot surf. Most of the participants had never surfed a day in their lives until this day. One individual had never even been in the ocean before. Several individuals had surfed prior to their accidents. It was a beautiful day and truly an inspiration for all of us that often take life for granted. The participants you have seen in this film were truly amazing, they were so grateful to be spending the day on the beach and in the ocean. Once again, I left this event realizing that at any moment your life as it is at the present can drastically change within seconds, and without warning.
