It's a torn ligament in my knee, my PCL (posterior cruciate ligament). It's the one that's smaller than the ACL and doesn't necessarily require surgery. As some of you know, I am a senior and I play basketball for my high school. This injury has caused me to lose the rest of my senior season (as well as go to physical therapy twice a week and wear a brace for the next 1-2 months.) Losing the ability to do something I love, losing the ability to play in my final year of high school basketball has been devastating. It is almost comparable to being told I wouldn't be able to see my horse for an entire season, honestly... Finding this out made me feel as badly as some of the worst days I've had in my life. That being said, I've really been able to tell where the support I have lies since my 'diagnosis' was made. My team, friends, family, and horse have all been there for me to lean on when needed. Hershey's really my rock. When I was going through the mentally worst part of my injury, I would count the hours till I could go to the barn. I'd sit through school realizing that I only had 3 more then 2 more then 1 more class until I could drive out to see my pony.
